The Southerner at Southerner.Net

Looking for The Southerner online magazine? The Southerner was a general-interest regional magazine online featuring news and entertainment from the American South. Other publishers experimented with online magazines at that time. While this was not the first online magazine, it was one of the first, and was the first print-to-web magazine in American history via the Front Page Editor and the new PDF format. You could print it at home or a copy shop and bind it into a print edition.

In that great Southern tradition, we leave you with the vestiges of that enterprise. Click an issue's cover in the morgue (southerner.net/archives.html) to begin reading about the American South at the turn of the millennium. We appreciate any interest, The Southerner is not taking queries at this time.
